Video Chat Compositions
Enactments of a series of instructions that simulate connection and collaboration through the computer screen. In Video Chat Compositions, a minimum of two people on Zoom work together to create compositions with their bodies, whether making the letters of the alphabet, hugging, or connecting parallel lines.

Pop-In@Nordstrom Eats More
Branding, art direction, and website design for a pop-up shop centered around food and gathering. The act of hosting a dinner party informed the photography and videos as well as the website experience, which centered around a table setting that depicted scenes of party prep, party time, and clean-up.

Daphne Hsu is a Brooklyn-based independent graphic designer and educator. She works collaboratively with artists, writers, arts & culture institutions, and socially-driven organizations on visual identity systems, publications, websites, exhibitions, and campaigns.  

She received her MFA from Rhode Island School of Design and B.Des from University of Washington. Previously, she held a Principal Designer role on the Creative Campaigns team at Nordstrom (resume here...). Her current projects include conceptualizing a brand refresh, helping put together the forthcoming Anti-Sweep Chinatown zine, and preparing for an information design class at Parsons.
